In April 1996 visual artist Bill Botzow and movement artist Meg Cottam began a collaborative work in a scrubby clearing on the edge of a settled area of No. Bennington, Vermont. Botzow and Cottam met twice a week over the next three months. They observed patterns of use in the clearing, then revealed and constructed responsive visual and movement ideas. This work culminated in Cascade of Gravity - A Parade in a Landscape, a community celebration June 30, 1996, as part of the Vermont Arts Exchange Paran Creek Festival. |
